Six years ago a group of awesome ladies decided to take action and help fight back.
ABOUT US…
We often hear it just takes one idea and one voice to make something happen…our neighborhood heard that voice six years ago and have been helping stomp out cancer ever since. The chairperson’s mom was battling breast cancer at the time and she found support through a community support group. The need to help raise awareness and donate to our local cancer support group in honor of her courageous battle was realized.
The seed was planted and the Sunrise Cancer Stomp was begun and
The Wellness Community was our charity since it would help
Cincinnati area families. The name has since changed to The Cancer Support Community and you may read more about this wonderful organization under the Our Charity tab.
With the help of the Red, White and Blue Crew, comprised of 15 dedicated neighbors, our neighborhood also supports the Toys for Tots campaign, donates to the local food pantry and has fun events that brings the community together. The Red, White and Blue Crew was started eight years ago when we organized a community Fourth of July Party and now plan and host events throughout the year. We live in a wonderful neighborhood that enjoys their time together but also understand the importance of giving back to those in need.
